The Child Advocacy Center
The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is looking for dedicated volunteer leaders to join their Young Advocates Council (YAC). YAC was formed ten years ago by a group of Drury University seniors who took part in a tour of the Child Advocacy Center and decided to form a group to help support the CAC mission.
The Young Advocates Council is a fundraising and community outreach group comprised of professionals who are interested in helping the CAC reach annual goals and secure volunteer opportunities for various fundraising events.
YAC members are tasked with hosting two of the Child Advocacy Center’s main events each year – Burgers & Cheers in May and helping at Wingapalooza in November. A one-time $50 due is required to pay for meeting lunches.
Meeting Times & Locations:
The YAC meets at noon on the 1st Monday of every month at the Child Advocacy Center to go over plans for upcoming events.
