Rosie is excited to celebrate the appointment of Joy Martin to the Greene County Domestic Violence Shelter Board.

Martin is a Springfield, Missouri native and single mother to one son. Her experience and survival of domestic violence have giver her a passion to help other women struggling with domestic violence. She is committed to assisting and empowering local women who may find themselves in a domestic violence situation.

Joy has served as a volunteer leader with Jobs for Life at Life 360 as well as The Fairbanks.

Greene County Domestic Violence Shelter Board

The Greene County Domestic Violence Board shall administer funding as set forth in H.B. 1069 Section 4-5-6-7-8 and other functions addressed in this document for the purpose of prevention of domestic violence and to provide assistance to victims of domestic violence.

Members of the Board are responsible for making recommendations to the Commission as to the organization that will receive annual funding authorized by State statute and working in concert with Greene County organization(s) whose mission and purpose involves the prevention of domestic violence and provides assistance to victims of domestic violence.
